Sole Associate in a three-person firm. Commercial, retail, and residential. Prepares all drawings and construction documents. Assists in schematic design, consultant coordination, and construction administration. Also produces illustrative master plans, office tenant studies / calculations, and marketing materials.

Ron Bogley, Architect and Builder, Berkeley (January 2002 to July 2004)

Sole draftsman in a design-build firm with an architect /contractor. Residential remodels, additions, and new construction. Prepared all drawings: as builts, design sketches, zoning presentations, construction documents, and details, including many “conventional construction” structural framing plans.

Assistant to Ball-Nogues’ Rip Curl Canyon, installation, Rice Gallery (Summer 2006)

Contacted local fabricators and donors; helped construct the installation.

Summer Teacher, Harris County School District (Summer 2005)

Introduced architecture to elementary school children as part of a summer program.

Editor, Editor-in-Chief, Process, Journal of Student Work (1998-2001)

Founded the journal with another student. Recruited staff, procured funds, and worked with the printers. Oversaw all parts of the project: collecting images to final edits. Finished the job on time and on budget as Editor-in Chief.

Managed funds, networked student groups in the college.

House Remodel, Fremont (six weeks over winter and summer breaks, 2000)

Helped remodel a house.  Did a bit of everything: hauling trash to repainting cabinets.
