Even though the mall was in good physical condition and located at the junction of two major freeways in San Antonio, Wonderlands of the Americas was half vacant when it was rebranded it as a Hispanic themed shopping venue and medical center.

The renovation projects included a new marketplace/business incubator, a private nursing college, compiling existing condition drawings, developing lease exhibits, and a new decorative facade.
